Details

Section 59(1) of the Energy Act 2023 provides that the Secretary of State may by notice given to a person designate the person to be a counterparty for carbon dioxide transport and storage revenue support contracts.

The Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero gave notice to Low Carbon Contracts Company Ltd (LCCC) on 5 August 2024 designating the company as a counterparty for carbon dioxide transport and storage revenue support contracts under the Act.

In accordance with Section 81(3)(a) of the Act, the Secretary of State is publishing the notice given to LCCC.
