Section 67(1) of the Energy Act 2023 provides that the Secretary of State may by notice given to a person designate the person to be a counterparty for industrial carbon capture revenue support contracts.

The Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero gave notice to Low Carbon Contracts Company Ltd (LCCC) on 5 August 2024 designating the company as a counterparty for industrial carbon capture revenue support contracts under the Act.

In accordance with Section 81(3)(a) of the Act, the Secretary of State is publishing the notice given to LCCC.
