The advice provided recognises the clear benefits to individual patients undergoing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations and more generally, through research involving volunteer exposures, to increasing medical knowledge for the benefit of all. The document was prepared by the MRI Patients and Volunteers Group.
