Section 23 of the Sanctions Act enables a person who has been designated under a designation power contained in Sanctions Act regulations (a “designated person”) to request variation or revocation of the designation.
Section 25 of the Sanctions Act provides a right for persons subject to designation because they are named on a UN list (a “UN listed person”) to request that we use our best endeavours to secure their removal from the relevant UN list.
