This research tested different styles of taxpayer letter as we prepared for mass communications with prospective Making Tax Digital customers.
It is is based on 3 discussion groups and 9 in-depth interviews with Income Tax Self Assessment (ITSA) customers with an annual business turnover of more than £10,000, and 12 in-depth interviews with agents of ITSA customers. Fieldwork took place in February 2018.
