The data are sourced from live Insolvency Service administrative systems and therefore some figures may be revised in information released in the future.
Only the primary offence is recorded in the administrative system and this is reflected in the counts above. There may be additional convictions relating to Covid-19 support scheme abuse where it was not the primary offence.
Numbers are derived from the date the defendant was convicted of a Covid-19 offence. In a few cases, defendants may appear more than once in the data table. This occurs when sentences are recorded in different periods for the same defendant, as Insolvency Service management information systems reflect each sentence separately.
In total as at 31 March 2025, 54 defendants have been convicted of Covid-19 offences.
