The internal security procedures policy frameworks update and replace the following PSIs:
- PSI 13/2011 Management and Security of Communication/Control Room and Internal Movement
- PSI 14/2011 Management and Security of Gate Services
- PSI 24/2011 Management and Security of Nights
- PSI 54/2011 Management and Security of Tools and Equipment
- PSI 55/2011 Management and Security of Keys and Locks
- Activity allocation and workplace risk assessments
These policy frameworks provides all public and contracted prisons with the information and guidance needed to manage the risk of escape or abscond through internal security processes and procedures.
These policies contain mandatory actions which will assist staff in carrying out these security procedures. There is a separate policy for closed prisons and open prisons, please make sure you are referring to the correct policy for your prison.
