Lord Browne, in his last annual report as the Government Lead Non-Executive, recommended that departments focus on improving risk management.

There are a range of areas in government where examples of good risk management exist. Through sharing good practice, civil servants can learn from each other and the case studies included in this publication provide details of how risk management processes have been applied in different scenarios.
