Newquay and the Gannel MCZ: 2016 designation order

Details

This inshore Marine Conservation Zone (MCZ) was announced on 17 January 2016.

Newquay and the Gannel MCZ is an inshore site on the north Cornwall coast in the south west of England. The site covers an area of 9 km² surrounding the beaches around Newquay.

The site boundary extends along the mean high water mark from Kelsey Head to Trevelgue Head at Porth Beach. The site includes the estuary area of the Gannel as far as the tidal limit.
