This document provides details of Marks and Spencer’s initatives to recruit women from different backgrounds.

31% of Marks & Spencer’s board members are women, which is well above the national average.  It has successfully recruited women through disadvantaged backgrounds through its Marks & Start employability programme. They were also one of the first companies to introduce flexible working for all staff.
