Monitoring Certification Scheme (MCERTS) provides a framework of standards you can use to monitor things that affect the environment. This guidance sets out what you must do if you want to become certified to monitor pollution released from chimney stacks.

   Updated MCERTS Personnel Competency Standard for Manual Stack-Emission Monitoring. • Section 3.2 – updated information on the MCERTS register. • Section 5 – moved information on maintaining certification during periods of extended absence into new section of standard. • Annex 2 – included statement in code of conduct about not releasing confidential examination materials or participating in fraudulent examination-taking practices.
