Mr McNeil sought the Committee’s advice about taking up a role with KPMG Saudi Arabia. The letter containing the Committee’s consideration and the conditions imposed on the appointment was sent in November 2023 and the appointment was taken up in February 2024. Lincoln Storm Group Limited/Storm Energia
The Committee exchanged correspondence with Mr McNeil regarding his contact with government, on behalf of Storm Energia (and Lincoln Storm Group more widely) in April 2023. The Committee determined this was not in keeping with its advice provided in relation to Mr McNeil’s appointment with Lincoln Storm Group Limited. ACOBA reported this breach to the Cabinet Office.
