The guide tells you what to do if:

  • you think the media should be excluded from your case
  • you want to complain about a reporter’s conduct or reporting

Reporters are not allowed into these kinds of family court hearings:

  • placement and adoption proceedings
  • parental orders applications under the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act 2008
  • hearings where the judge helps both sides to reach an agreement
