Following the legalising of cannabis-based products for medical reasons in 2018, this research report examines:
- the prescribing landscape and profile of medicinal cannabis users (for example, the extent to which prescriptions are issued to drivers)
- the impact medical cannabis has on driving ability and road safety
- the knowledge and understanding prescribers and users have about the impact medical cannabis has on driving ability
The report, completed by NatCen Social Research, was commissioned by Department for Transport in 2021. It has been published alongside:
