Details

This new NNR in Somerset combines 2 existing reserves:

  • Ebbor Gorge
  • Rodney stoke

The combined site is also extended and renamed as Mendip NNR. This is shaded yellow on the declaration maps attached to this page.

The partnership managing the 31 sites of this NNR consists of:

  • Natural England
  • National Trust
  • Longleat Enterprises Limited
  • Avon and Somerset Wildlife Trusts
  • Butterfly Conservation
  • The Woodland Trust
  • The South West Heritage Trust
  • Mendip Hills AONB service

A separate area of the NNR that was previously included in the site will no longer be held or managed by Natural England as a nature reserve.
