Details

On 23 January 2023, the Department for Health and Social Care announced that mental health services are being boosted by £150 million in government funding.

The Home Secretary has thanked all chief constables in England and Wales, together with police and crime commissioners, for their continued focus on mental health and policing and their close work with health partners.

The Home Secretary has also set out details and timings of work by partners to address mental health demand.
