These documents are to help Green Gas Support Scheme (GGSS) participants and applicants accurately report their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions as part of the scheme’s sustainability requirements.
Methods of calculating greenhouse gas emissions explains the ‘actual value’ and ‘default value’ methods for calculating lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions associated with the production of biomethane from biogas.
Calculating fugitive methane emissions sets out how applicants can report their fugitive methane emissions as part of the ‘actual value’ method set out in the main Methods document.
The GGSS greenhouse gas calculator (and associated user guide) is for calculating the greenhouse gas emissions of biomethane injected into the grid, using the ‘actual value’ method.
