MGN 477 Amendment 1 MLC Seafarer's employment agreements
Seafarers to which the MLC minimum requirements for seafarers regulations 2014 apply must have a legally enforceable seafarer employment agreement.

This notice should be read in conjunction with part 4 of the merchant shipping (maritime labour convention) (minimum requirements for seafarers etc.) regulations 2014 (the “MLC minimum requirements regulations”).
Amendment 1 adds a link to the publication of “equality of opportunity and diversity in the European shipping industry: eliminating work place harassment and bullying” in section 15.1. Replaces MGN 477 (M),MIN 529 (M), MGN 148 (M) and MGN 149 (M).
MGN 477 Amendment 1 replaces MGNs 148 (M) and MGN 149 (M) in respect of those vessels, not subject to the MLC minimum requirements regulations, which will still require crew agreements.
