Agenda item 2 - Home Office, MAC Secretariat and MAC updates
1. Paul Regan updated the MAC on Home Office business and direction following the general election results.
2. Toby Nutley provided an updated on the publication timeline and discussed recruitment plans for the future expanded role of the MAC.
Agenda item 3 - Salary thresholds
3. The chair presented recommendation options surrounding salary thresholds for the upcoming report, which was discussed in detail by the committee.
Agenda item 4 - Regional variation
4. The chair presented recommendation options surrounding regional variation for salary thresholds which was discussed in detail by the committee.
Agenda item 5 - Treatment of public sector occupations
5. The chair presented recommendation options surrounding salary thresholds for public sector occupations which use national pay scales, which was discussed in detail by the committee.
Agenda item 6 - PBS and settlement
6. The chair presented recommendation options surrounding the point-based system (PBS) and the settlement threshold, which was discussed in detail by the committee.
Agenda item 7- Data related recommendations
7. The chair presented recommendation ideas for the Home Office surrounding UK immigration data monitoring and evaluation, which was discussed in detail by the committee.

8. The committee reviewed the decisions made in relation to all recommendations discussed and outlined which areas needed further consideration before a final consensus was reached.
