1. Introduction

1.1 Annex 1 to this notice sets out the C0103 course and LPS course dates currently available between September 2022 and August 2023. The dates have been agreed and arranged following consultation with South Shields Marine School (Tyne Coast College), Blackpool and The Fylde College (Fleetwood Nautical Campus), VTS Training Centre Grimsby and the Port of London Authority. Additional course dates may be available on request to the individual VTS training organisations.

1.2 Candidates should contact the training organisations directly as some of the dates contained in Annex 1 may be subject to short notice change. The VTS training organisations should also be consulted to determine any Accredited Prior Learning (APL) requirements especially with regard to non-marine applicants, if appropriate.

1.3 Further guidance can be obtained from the current Marine Guidance Note 434 Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) as amended – Training and Certification of VTS Personnel.

1.4 This information will be promulgated on an annual basis.
