This notice replaces MIN 685 (F) from 1 August 2023.

This MIN expires 31 July 2024.

Summary

This notice sets out the examination dates for Fishing Certificates of Competency for the academic year commencing 1 September 2023.

Introduction

1. The Annex to this notice sets out the pattern of examinations to be held in the academic year commencing 1 September 2023 for Deck Officer (Fishing Vessel) Certificates of Competency.
2. The dates have been arranged following consultation with various representative organisations of the fishing industry.
3. The examinations are administered by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) on behalf of the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) and are held at their approved examination centres.
