Details

The Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 requires each government department to review the powers of entry contained in its legislation.

The MOD has 11 such powers. The first group enable the service police and commanding officers to exercise and fulfil their duties under the Armed Forces Act 2006 in respect of the investigation of service offences. The second group are essential to the continued management of the defence estate in the United Kingdom.
