The ambition of the Ministry of Justice Evaluation and Prototyping Strategy is to establish a test-learn-adapt culture where robust and timely evidence on the effectiveness of policies and programmes sits at the heart of policy and operational decisions.

This Evaluation and Prototyping Strategy outlines 12 practical steps the Ministry of Justice and its main Executive Agencies will take to realise this ambition. It reflects our commitment towards putting insights from data, evidence and collaboration at the heart of decision making to improve outcomes across the justice system.
