The fourth annual report of the UK’s national mechanism for the prevention of torture and ill treatment in detention (the National Preventive Mechanism, NPM) gives an overview of its work monitoring detention in prisons, police custody, court cells, customs custody facilities, children’s secure accommodation, immigration, military and secure mental health facilities.
