Monitoring reports for the return of funds by the UK to Moldova

Monitoring reports show how money returned to Moldova was used to fund social assistance projects.

Details

In 2021 the UK returned £456,068.38 of funds forfeited in relation to Luca Filat to the Government of Moldova under the terms of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

These funds were monitored by Keystone Moldova which has produced monitoring reports on how the returned funds were used.

In 2022 the UK published the Framework for Transparent and Accountable Asset Return which sets out the UK’s process for returning the proceeds of corruption.

Please note annexes have not been included in these documents.
