Morgan Sindall Construction & Infrastructure Ltd has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from 12 deep wellpoints at the following National Grid References: SP 54191 06361, SP 54201 06354, SP 54206 06346, SP 54211 06338, SP 54215 06328, SP 54204 06323, SP 54191 06315, SP 54177 06308, SP 54170 06322, SP 54168 06335, SP 54172 06349 and SP 54182 06358.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

  • 10.416 cubic metres an hour

  • 250 cubic metres a day

  • 91,235.40 cubic metres a year

  • between 01 April and 31 March inclusive in each year.

The water will be used for the purpose of dewatering to enable construction.

Further details are: All water abstracted will be discharged to the sewer main.
