Guidance on applying for the MOT quality control course

1. How to book your MOT quality control course
You need to fill in the application form and send it to the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA).
You can provisionally book courses by phone, fax or email but they must be confirmed in writing.
2. Course fees

The fee doesn’t include VAT.
The course fees include:
- tuition
- paperwork and full documents
- morning and afternoon refreshments and lunch (where applicable)
3. Payments
Your payments must be received 28 days before the start date of your course or at the time of the booking otherwise bookings cannot be guaranteed.
If you’re bookings is within 28 days of the course start date you’ll be required to make payment as part of the application. This is non-refundable.
If your application is not paid for within 28 days of the course start date you’ll be liable for the full cost of the course whether or not you attend the course.
You can pay by:
- cheque
- selected credit and debit cards
- a pre-funded accounts you have set up with DVSA
You must make your cheque payable to ‘VOSA’ rather than the ‘Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency’ until April 2015.
4. Cancellations
Course cancellations or postponements may be made in writing at any time. However, if the cancellation is within 28 days of the start date of the course, the fee will remain payable in full and no refunds or transfer to other courses will be given.
DVSA reserves the right to cancel or amend a course up to 7 days prior to the start date where absolutely necessary.
However, DVSA will do its best to honour its commitments to you. In the event that a course is postponed you will be offered another mutually convenient date or a full refund.
DVSA will not be liable for any losses experienced as a result of a cancellation.
