Moving schools pack: service family guide
The moving schools pack is to help you, as a service parent, to support your child when moving schools.
Documents
Details
Children of service personnel have to move schools a number of times because of the nature of service life. It is therefore vital that schools have as much information as possible about your child’s achievements and needs. This will enable your child to settle quickly into the new school and begin working at an appropriate level.
This pack should supplement the information that schools must transfer by law, and it will help the school get to know your child.
You can personalise the pack by using the sheets you find most useful, or you can add others that you think will help the school to know more about your child. The activity pack is aimed at children aged 6 to 11 years old, but you may want to adapt some of the ideas for your own child.
If you would like a copy of the pack you can either download it from the links above, or you can contact us for a copy by post.
What do you think?
If you have used the moving schools pack, we would be very interested to hear your views. This will enable us to continue to improve and update the pack on a regular basis. We would be grateful if you could complete the feedback form below and return to us.
