Details

This guidance is for regulatory bodies of professional qualifications. It sets out the obligations placed upon them by the revised Mutual Recognition of Professional Qualifications Directive 2005/36/EC.

These regulatory bodies are known as ‘competent authorities’. They control access to regulated professions, professional and vocational titles and professional activities which require specific qualifications, (which includes experience). They are subject to national law or membership rules of bodies governed by the Royal Charter.
