Front cover of NUAR project update report

In September 2021, the Geospatial Commission launched the build phase of the building of a digital map of underground pipes and cables. The National Underground Asset Register (NUAR) will revolutionise the way we install, maintain, operate and repair our buried infrastructure.

This publication marks the first anniversary of the build phase and provides a summary of progress over the past year, as well as the economic case and a timeline for the next two years.
