Details
The role of the National Cancer Registration and Analysis Service (NCRAS) Review of Informed Choice Advisory Group is to offer advice and to challenge NCRAS in delivering on the recommendations of the Review of Informed Choice for Cancer Registration.
The Advisory Group will also provide key links to other groups and communities who are implicit to the delivery of the review recommendations. In addition to the primary role, members are asked to act as a conduit for the dissemination of information and influence, where relevant and appropriate.
The minutes of these meetings will be made available once circulated and approved by group members.
Update, November 2020
The NCRAS Review of Informed Choice Advisory Group has agreed to pause meetings for a period to allow for clarity around the service priorities and also for consideration to be given to expanding the remit of the group to cover the whole of the National Disease Registration Service (NDRS). For further information, please see the minutes of the last meeting held on 14 October 2020.
Work to improve awareness of how cancer data is collected and used will continue in the interim as it remains a significant priority for NCRAS and NDRS – group members will be consulted on work as it progresses.
