Public Health England recommends that local areas should be working towards achieving a diagnosis rate of at least 2,300 per 100,000. It is anticipated that this will be the recommended level for three years. The level for subsequent years will be determined in the light of achievements in this period of time.
The National Chlamydia Screening Programme (NCSP) has developed a simple calculator that local areas may use to assist them in calculating the necessary coverage that must be achieved to reach the recommended diagnosis rate.
