NDA group Health, Safety & Wellbeing Policy Statement
Updated 3 November 2022
Background and purpose
The Nuclear Decommissioning Authority’s (NDA) number one priority is and always will be safety. We are committed to providing a safe and healthy environment across the NDA group where our employees are able to thrive at work.
Our focus is to reduce the highest hazards and risks, while ensuring safe, secure and responsible operations at our sites. It’s our duty to carry out this highly complex mission safely and efficiently, ensuring people and the workplace are protected at all times.
We are committed to improving and protecting the mental health and wellbeing of people across the NDA group through a supportive working environment. We will continue to raise awareness of mental health issues and ensure that all our people have the knowledge, guidance and tools to look after their wellbeing and that of others.
Our mission
We’re charged with the mission to clean up the UK’s earliest nuclear sites safely, securely and cost-effectively. Doing this with care for our people, communities and the environment is at the heart of our work.
