The Environment Agency has received a new bespoke application for an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 from Sanders Group (NE) Limited.

Regulated facility type
This is a new bespoke deposit for recovery permit application. Sanders Group (NE) Limited proposes to import up to 27,600 m3 (49,680 tonnes) of inert waste to restore an approximately 2 km long stretch of a former haul road utilised by a restored opencast mine. Upon completion of the site restoration, the land is proposed to be used for agricultural purposes and creation of a public bridleway.
