Professor Stewart Cole, Director-General, Pasteur Institute, Paris, France
Professor Stewart Cole is recognised for his role as a world-leading expert in the field of emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases such as COVID-19, AIDS and TB. After starting his career in the UK, he went on to become the first non-French national at the head of the Pasteur Institute in Paris, the world-renowned non-profit institution dedicated to the study of infectious diseases. Under his leadership, scientists from the Pasteur Institute have been highly active in combating SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, as well as other emerging infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance and neurodegenerative disorders.
Alden McLaughlin, Premier, Cayman Islands
Alden McLaughlin is recognised for his outstanding service over 21 years as a Parliamentarian including 3 terms in Government, 2 as the Premier in the UK’s most populated Overseas Territory. During his Premiership, he led 2 highly effective administrations, ushering in a period of stability, economic growth and strong commitment to sound financial management. He played a pivotal role in constitutional change advancing Cayman’s autonomy, building excellent relationships with UK Ministers. He showed outstanding leadership in Cayman’s initial response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Menna Rawlings CMG, HM Ambassador Paris, France
Menna Rawlings is recognised for her exceptional career contribution as one of the UK’s top diplomats and now the UK’s first female Ambassador to France. In her last 3 roles she has given outstanding service as co-leader for the FCDO’s COVID-19 response, as Director General for Economic and Global Issues, and as the UK High Commissioner to Australia.

Flora Duffy OBE, International Triathlete
Flora Duffy is recognised for her exceptional contribution to sport in Bermuda over many years and for her outstanding achievements in triathlon, which include becoming the first and only person from a British Overseas Territory to ever win an Olympic gold medal. Her achievement also made Bermuda the smallest country, in terms of population, to win a gold medal at a Summer Olympics.
