Details
The NHS Outcomes Framework 2013 to 2014 sets out the outcomes and corresponding indicators that will be used to hold the NHS Commissioning Board to account for improvements in health outcomes, as part of the government’s mandate to the NHS Commissioning Board.
This latest version of the framework builds on the previous 2 versions of the framework and contains measures to help the health and care system to focus on measuring outcomes. It describes how the NHS Outcomes Framework will work in the wider system, and highlights the indicator changes since the December 2011 edition.
Detailed information about each of the indicators in the framework have been published in the technical appendix.
The Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC) publish data for the NHS Outcomes Framework indicators and published the latest update on 5 December 2012. However, baseline figures for some of the indicators in domain 2 are published here, pending the completion of methodological work. Once this has been completed assured indicators will also be published on the HSCIC indicator portal.
