The survey details the results of a review completed by the RAF Noise and Vibration Division (NVD) between 18 to 20 March 2013 of flying operations at RAF Church Fenton prior to the announcement of the closure. This report compares the results of the previous surveys carried out in 1989 and 2001 under the now closed NIGS and provides recommendations regarding the Noise Amelioration Scheme (Military) (NAS(M)) contours.
As RAF Church Fenton is now closed, this report is published for historic purposes.
About RAF Church Fenton
RAF Church Fenton was the home of 3 Squadron of No. 1 Elementary Flying Training School and Yorkshire Universities Air Squadron, flying Tutor T1s. It served as a relief landing ground for Tucano T1s from RAF Linton-on-Ouse. On 25 March 2013 it was announced that Church Fenton would close by the end of 2013. The units relocated to RAF Linton-on-Ouse.
