Details

This release is a corrected set of tables originally published on 5 October 2017. A fault in the code used to extract data from VOA administrative systems resulted in 11,732 records (representing 1% of the total rateable value) being wrongly excluded in the underlying data used for the official statistics. VOA processes have been updated to prevent any such error arising in the future.

The statistics in this release provide information on the number and value of the stock of rateable properties broken down by property type and geographic location. Table 1.0 is a summary of the number and total rateable value of all rateable properties in the Compiled Rating List as at 1 April 2017.

In addition, Table 2.0 presents a comparison of the change in rateable value across regions and billing authorities, between the 2010 and 2017 Revaluation rating lists. This is an update to the table presented in the statistics released as “Non-domestic rating: 2010 and 2017 Revaluation rateable values by country, region and SCat code” on 16 October 2016 which provided provisional estimates of the impact of revaluation.
