In line with government requirements the Northern Lighthouse Board and Trinity House undergo a substantive review at least once every 3 years. The 2013 combined triennial review report for both bodies, published June 2014, assessed the continuing need for both organisations, and reviewed their existing governance arrangements.
The announcement of the triennial review of the Northern Lighthouse Board and Trinity House was made to Parliament on 12 December 2013.
