Notice 14/20 - Private Storage Aid (PSA): Dairy and Meat
The European Commission has adopted proposals to provide additional assistance to the dairy and meat industry due to the current pandemic of coronavirus (COVID-19).

For details of the Private Storage Aid for dairy and meat, please see the attached notice and two forms.
The PSA schemes for Beef, Sheep & Goat meat closed at midnight on 17 July 2020.
Applications received on Thursday 7 May for PSA Cheese exceeded the total UK allocation of 4,499 tonnes, and as a result there are no further quantities available to the UK at this present time.
Applications for both Butter and Skimmed Milk closed on 30 June 2020.

Additional bullet added to 'Specific conditions' section under 'ANNEX 4 - Sheepmeat and Goatmeat' of Notice 14/20 (If the lamb carcass (whole or half) is deboned and cut before being frozen and stored, this operation must be done under the competent authorities’ supervision. The competent authorities must be in a position to identify that the deboned meat to be frozen and stored genuinely comes from the carcass covered by the private storage aid application that has been submitted.)
