NTE 2022/05: General Trade Licence Russia sanctions aviation insurance

Following the coming into force of the Russia (Sanctions) (EU Exit) (Amendment) (No. 6) Regulations 2022, the Export Control Joint Unit (ECJU) has published a General Licence permitting for a time-limited period the provision of certain insurance and reinsurance services relating to aviation and space goods and aviation and space technology.

The licence comes into force at 5pm on 8 March 2022. Any person seeking to rely on the licence must register online via SPIRE within 30 days of their first use of the licence.
New designations of individuals and Russian entities have been announced. Further sanctions may be imposed in response to events.
