Introduction
The Export Control Joint Unit (ECJU) needs your feedback to name the service known as LITE, which will replace SPIRE as the digital export licensing and clearances platform.
LITE is currently being used by a small number of invited exporters for standard individual export licences (SIELs) while we develop functionality (known as private beta). By early 2024, all exporters will make SIEL licence applications on LITE instead of SPIRE.
Service provisions
The service will eventually allow you to:
- apply for an export licence
- edit or check an application
- view any licence issues
Even if you don’t currently use LITE, your experience as an exporter who has applied for an export licence will help us to develop the right service name.
