Notices of monetary penalty and costs recovery: QFI
Ofqual has issued Qualifications for Industry (QFI) with notices requiring it to pay a fine and costs, after finding it breached its Conditions of Recognition.

Details
On 1 October 2024, Ofqual issued Qualifications for Industry (QFI) with a notice requiring it to pay a fine of £50,000. The Notice of Intention was published on 8 October.
QFI submitted representations to Ofqual, which were considered by Ofqual’s Enforcement Panel on 6 December 2024.
Following consideration of those representations, the Panel confirmed its provisional decisions and has imposed a monetary penalty in the sum of £50,000.
The Panel considered the costs incurred by Ofqual in relation to the decision to impose a Monetary Penalty on QFI and has decided that QFI should be required to pay Ofqual’s Costs in the sum of £15,846.22.
