- transit accompanying document and list of items have the same meaning as in Article 41 of Appendix 1 to the Convention on a Common Transit Procedure
Business Continuity Procedure
This Annex stipulates the business continuity procedure for the holders of the procedure, including authorised consignors, in the event of a temporary failure of:
- the electronic transit system
- the computerised system used by the holders of the procedure for making the declaration for the Common Transit Procedure by means of electronic data processing techniques
- the electronic connection between the computerised system used by the holders of the procedure for making the declaration for the Common Transit Procedure by means of electronic data-processing techniques and the electronic transit system
In the situations specified above, a Transit Accompanying Document (TAD) should be used as a declaration to a Common Transit Procedure.
When used as a declaration, a TAD shall be provided in accordance with Annex A3 to Appendix III of the Convention on a Common Transit Procedure, using the form set out in Annex A3a of this Appendix.
A TAD used as a declaration may be supplemented by a list of items established using the form set out in Annex A5a to Appendix III of the Convention on a Common Transit Procedure. These should include the particulars set out in Annex A6a to Appendix III of this Convention and act as a descriptive part of a paper-based declaration for the Common Transit Procedure, of which they shall form an integral part.
