In 2005 the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) was established as a Non-Departmental Public Body (NDPB) under the Energy Act (2004) to ensure that the UK’s nuclear legacy sites are decommissioned and cleaned up safely, securely, cost effectively and in ways that protect people and the environment. The Energy Act requires the NDA to review its Strategy at least every 5 years.
We consulted on our Draft Strategy from August to November 2020 and this document is the final outcome of that consultation.
