Details
Phase 2 of this competition is a £26 million investment programme, split over 2 tranches. It aims to progress technologies including those established in Phase 1, towards demonstration and commercialisation.
Phase 2B will produce a number of technology demonstrators that include advanced manufacturing or construction techniques, incorporating and developing some of the learning and technologies from the Phase 1 funded programme.
The demonstrations will involve trial builds that could be used in:
- factory-build
- modular and advanced construction
- digital engineering execution
- assurance
The techniques could then be applied to the build, maintenance and decommissioning of nuclear sites as well as future technologies.
Applications
Phase 2B opened on 8 January 2020, and closed on 19 February 2020.
Phase 2A closed in April 2019 and awarded up to £16 million of funding to 4 projects.
