We were asked
- how many officials have been appointed by the department since May 24, 2010;
2. of these, how many have been appointed on fixed-term contracts, how many on permanent contracts, how many under the Fast Stream, and how many on any other form of contract;
3. how many officials have left the department since May 24, 2010;
4. the total number of officials working for the department on May 24, 2010 and on the latest date for which information is available;
5. the size of the department’s redeployment pool on May 24, 2010 and on the latest date for which information is available.
The information is shown below
3 officials have been appointed to the Wales Office since 24 May 2010.
All 3 were existing civil servants on permanent contracts. 2 officials have transferred from other Government Departments and one is on loan from the Welsh Assembly government.
7 officials have left the Wales Office since 24 May 2010.
There were 59 officials working for the Wales Office on 24 May 2010 and there are 55 as of the date of this letter.
