This externally commissioned research examines:

  • the extent to which labour markets in the EU have occupations subject to at least some regulation, or restrictions on the ability to practice the occupation
  • the extent to which occupational regulation may present a barrier to the ability of EU professionals to work in the UK.

The research provides a breakdown of estimated proportions of the labour market affected for 27 EU member states.
