Octagon Developments Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a new full transfer licence to dewater a construction site by abstracting groundwater at National Grid References SU 97978 68296, SU 98026 68282, SU 98029 68248 and SU 97993 68248. The water will be discharged into a nearby watercourse called Chertsey Bourne at National Grid Reference SU 97979 68471.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

  • 75 cubic metres an hour
  • 1,300 cubic metres a day
  • 230,000 cubic metres a year
  • For a period of 12 months from issue date.
