This document was drawn up by the Treasury in consultation with the OBR, and sets out the broad governance and management framework within which the OBR operates, and the relationship the OBR has with the Treasury as the sponsor department for the OBR.

The OBR was set up in 2010 under the Budget Responsibility and National Audit Act.
